B-42 has covered the eastern pasture for three seasons, including the Great Fence Dispute of last spring, the Feed Shortage That Wasn't, and what is now known internally as The Clipboard Incident. None of this coverage has been recognized by any journalism organization. B-42 considers this consistent with independence.
B-42 was born on this farm. B-42 does not hold a journalism degree. B-42 has a press badge, however — self-issued, laminated with assistance from an unnamed source — and a perspective on farm operations that no outside correspondent could replicate, on account of being inside the fence.
Prior to founding The Dairy Wile, B-42 worked exclusively in the pasture. This continues to be the case. The reporting happens between other obligations. B-42 files when conditions allow.
B-42's coverage areas include: perimeter integrity, feed quality and scheduling, unexplained farmer behavior, the water trough situation (ongoing), barn owl activity, rooster credibility, and anything involving a clipboard.
The Dairy Wile is an independent publication. It accepts no advertising. It has received no grants. It owes no favors to anyone except possibly the rooster, and that situation is being handled.
Tips, corrections, and letters to the editor may be submitted via the Tips Desk. All sources are protected. Even the difficult ones. Especially the difficult ones.
The Dairy Wile was established in 2026. It is published when there is something to report, which B-42 has found to be more often than one might expect.
